Gas refilling

Ice build-up
Frost on the back wall or around the fan points to a defrost heater, sensor or timer fault.
Water leaking
A blocked defrost drain is the usual cause, sometimes a split water line on fridges with dispensers.
Noisy or clicking
A clicking compressor that won’t start, a worn fan motor, or the fridge touching the wall.
Door not sealing
Torn or loose door gaskets let warm air in and make the fridge work all day.
Before you call: leave a 10 cm gap behind the fridge, clean the coils at the back and check the thermostat dial hasn’t been turned down.

It depends on the gas your fridge uses and where the leak is. We find and fix the leak before refilling, and you get the full price before we start.
Why is my fridge running but not cooling?
Most often low gas from a small leak, dirty condenser coils, a failed fan or a faulty thermostat. On inverter fridges the control board can also be the cause.
