What we fix
Common Armco problems.

Not cooling
Low gas from a leak, dusty condenser coils, a failed fan, thermostat or start relay.
Gas refilling
We find and fix the leak first, then pull a vacuum and refill with the right gas for your fridge.
Knob turns but no gas
A blocked gas valve or injector, or a faulty regulator on the cylinder.
Burner won’t light
Blocked jets from spills, a wet or cracked igniter, or a faulty spark generator.
Clicks but no flame
The spark is there but gas isn’t reaching the burner: jets, valve or supply.
Twin tub drains slowly
The drain valve or its pull cord, or a blocked hose.
Not draining
Water left in the drum, or a code like 5C, OE or E18. Usually a blocked filter, hose or a worn drain pump.
Not spinning
Clothes come out soaking. Unbalanced loads, a drain fault, a worn belt or motor brushes.
Turns on then off
A power board fault, often after a surge. We test and repair or replace the board.
Sound but no picture
Almost always the backlight. Shine a torch at the screen: if you can faintly see the picture, that’s it.
No power
A failed power board or standby circuit.
Display on, nothing happens
A door switch or fuse. Common and quick to fix.
Runs but doesn’t heat
A failed magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor.
Sparking
A burnt waveguide cover or damaged cavity paint. Stop using it until it’s fixed.
No cold water
Switch off at the back, a failed thermostat, fan or cooling compressor, or low gas.
No hot water
A failed heater, thermostat or thermal cut-out.
Leaking
Worn taps, a cracked reservoir or a loose bottle seat.
If your Armco TV turns on and off by itself after a power cut, unplug it for 10 minutes. If it keeps doing it, the power board has been damaged and needs a repair.
