Gas smell near the knobs
A leaking gas valve or loose connection. Turn the gas off at the cylinder and call us.
Burner won’t light
Blocked jets from spills, a wet or cracked igniter, or a faulty spark generator.
Water under the fridge
A blocked defrost drain. We clear it and check the drain tray.
Not cooling
Low gas from a leak, dusty condenser coils, a failed fan, thermostat or start relay.
Gas refilling
We find and fix the leak first, then pull a vacuum and refill with the right gas for your fridge.
Turntable not turning
A worn turntable motor or broken coupler, both quick to replace.
Sparks inside
A burnt waveguide cover. Stop using it and let us replace the cover before the magnetron is damaged.
Runs but doesn’t heat
A failed magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor.
Cold side not cooling
The cooling unit, a thermostat or the fan on electronically cooled models.
No cold water
Switch off at the back, a failed thermostat, fan or cooling compressor, or low gas.
No hot water
A failed heater, thermostat or thermal cut-out.
Not draining
Water left in the drum, or a code like 5C, OE or E18. Usually a blocked filter, hose or a worn drain pump.
Not spinning
Clothes come out soaking. Unbalanced loads, a drain fault, a worn belt or motor brushes.
Leaking
Water on the floor from a torn door seal, loose hose, cracked sump or overfilling drawer.
If a Ramtons microwave sparks, stop using it straight away. It is usually a burnt waveguide cover, which is cheap to replace, but running it can damage the magnetron.
