Ice build-up
Frost on the back wall or around the fan points to a defrost heater, sensor or timer fault.
Drain fault
A blocked filter or failed drain pump.
Not draining
Water left in the drum, or a code like 5C, OE or E18. Usually a blocked filter, hose or a worn drain pump.
Not spinning
Clothes come out soaking. Unbalanced loads, a drain fault, a worn belt or motor brushes.
Not heating
The magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor.
Runs but doesn’t heat
A failed magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor.
Sparking
A burnt waveguide cover or damaged cavity paint. Stop using it until it’s fixed.
Not draining
Water left in the bottom from a blocked filter, drain hose or pump.
Leaking
Worn door seals, a split sump or a loose hose. Many models stop with a flood code.
Dishes still dirty
Blocked spray arms, a clogged filter or a weak circulation pump.
No cold water
Switch off at the back, a failed thermostat, fan or cooling compressor, or low gas.
No hot water
A failed heater, thermostat or thermal cut-out.
Leaking
Worn taps, a cracked reservoir or a loose bottle seat.
If a Midea AC shows a code on the indoor unit, write it down and switch the AC off at the breaker for 5 minutes. If the code comes back, book a visit.
