Sound but no picture
Almost always the backlight. Shine a torch at the screen: if you can faintly see the picture, that’s it.
No power
A failed power board or standby circuit.
Not cooling
A relay, thermostat or gas leak.
Chest freezer cold only at the bottom
Often overfilled so air can’t move, or a weak gas charge.
Gas refilling
We find and fix the leak first, then pull a vacuum and refill with the right gas for your fridge.
Burner won’t light
The igniter or a blocked jet.
Clicks but no flame
The spark is there but gas isn’t reaching the burner: jets, valve or supply.
Flame goes out
When the flame dies after you let go of the knob, the thermocouple usually needs replacing.
Not cooling
Dirty filters, low gas from a leak, or a failed capacitor or fan.
Leaking water
A blocked drain line or tray on the indoor unit.
Noisy
Loose panels, worn fan motors or a struggling compressor.
If a Nasco chest freezer is cold at the bottom but not the top, it may just be overfilled. Leave space for air to move.
