Lights flashing
Hotpoint shows faults with flashing lights or an F-code. Tell us the pattern and we’ll know where to start.
Not draining
Water left in the drum, or a code like 5C, OE or E18. Usually a blocked filter, hose or a worn drain pump.
Dryer runs, no heat
A blown thermal fuse, a failed heater or a thermostat. A blocked vent or filter often caused the fuse to blow, so we clear that too.
Squeaking or thumping drum
Worn drum bearings, felt seals, the belt or the idler pulley. We replace the worn part before it damages the motor.
No heat
A blown thermal fuse, failed heater or thermostat.
Fridge freezer not cold
A failed thermostat or fan, a defrost fault or a slow gas leak.
Not cooling
Low gas from a leak, dusty condenser coils, a failed fan, thermostat or start relay.
Gas refilling
We find and fix the leak first, then pull a vacuum and refill with the right gas for your fridge.
Fan oven cold
The fan element or fan motor has failed.
Not heating
A burnt-out element, thermostat or selector switch. On gas ovens, the igniter or valve.
Uneven baking
A failed fan motor or fan element, or a thermostat reading the wrong temperature.
Not draining
Water left in the bottom from a blocked filter, drain hose or pump.
Leaking
Worn door seals, a split sump or a loose hose. Many models stop with a flood code.
Dishes still dirty
Blocked spray arms, a clogged filter or a weak circulation pump.
If a Hotpoint tumble dryer squeaks and smells hot, stop using it. A seized idler pulley can snap the belt and damage the motor.

Do you repair Hotpoint tumble dryers?
Yes. We replace heaters, thermal fuses, belts, pulleys and bearings on Hotpoint condenser and vented dryers, and clear the vents that cause most failures.

No. Hotpoint is a UK brand; Von is the Kenyan brand sold by Hotpoint Appliances. We repair both, and each has its own page on our site.
