Burner won’t light
A wet or worn electrode, a blocked burner or a failed ignition module.
Simfer is a Turkish brand known for freestanding cookers, built-in ovens, gas hobs and cooker hoods, sold widely across Kenya. We repair Simfer appliances with genuine or matching parts.
Pick your Simfer appliance. Tell us what it’s doing and we’ll usually know the likely cause before we arrive.
A wet or worn electrode, a blocked burner or a failed ignition module.
The flame failure device (thermocouple) is worn or dirty.
The spark is there but gas isn’t reaching the burner: jets, valve or supply.
A failed element, fan motor or thermostat.
Worn hinges or a damaged door seal.
A burnt-out element, thermostat or selector switch. On gas ovens, the igniter or valve.
Greasy filters, a worn motor or a failed capacitor.
Greasy filters or a tired motor. Clean filters and a motor check usually bring it back.
A failed bulb, LED driver or switch.
A failed magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor.
A burnt waveguide cover or damaged cavity paint. Stop using it until it’s fixed.
A worn turntable motor or coupler.
Simfer burners light best when the burner caps sit perfectly flat. After cleaning, dry them fully and check each cap is seated before you turn on the gas.
